Learn more about Cooperative business strategies through our Classes, Workshops, and Popup Cafes 

  1. Introductory Classes
    CEED offers several monthly 2-hour introductory overviews on topics including an introduction to co-ops, types of co-ops, the seven cooperative principles, housing co-ops, grocery co-ops, and youth co-ops. All introductory classes are free of charge. Contact us to learn more.
  2. Co-op Cafes
    These are informal talks at your venue or favorite cafe on different topics, ranging from key historical co-op movements to the differences between employee stock ownership plans (ESOP) and cooperatives, and co-op model resilience. Co-op Cafes are offered free of charge upon request.
  3. Cooperative ​Entrepreneurship
    This 8-module course meets weekly for two hours to work through a step-by-step guide to understanding cooperative business. Topics include stocks, bylaws, accounting, and governance. For more information, contact CEED to learn about upcoming course offerings.
  4. Cooperative Business Management
    This is an 8-month, 600-hour course covering the steps to starting or converting to a cooperative business model. Topics include feasibility, developing a business plan, by-laws, accounting, and managing a cooperative business, Contact us for more information on this annual, fee-based course.
  1. Co-op Conversion
    Thinking about an exit plan? Have you considered selling your business to your employees? Attend one of our workshops to learn the steps to developing a conversion to a cooperative business model. Or contact CEED to learn about scheduling a workshop for you and your employees.
  2. Co-op Garage Workshops
